Almost one month away

The deadline to respond was yesterday and we received almost every response with a yes.  We are going to invite a couple B list people to keep the numbers a little over 100 to meet the receptions minimum. So glad almost everyone can make it.

Nadine did a test run with Jesse yesterday in my Mom’s wedding dress.  Dominique came up to assist Nadine with Jesse and the dress.  I rode my bike and took a lot of pictures to fill in for Chris the Photographer.  We will probably do one more dress rehearsal with a car as well to make it as real as possible for the big day.

It just a juke!

Well this past week has been another crazy week.  This past Friday we went with Naveen and Dominique to Shogun 27.  That place is great and it was a fun night.  All I can say is “It’s just a juke” in the words of Nadine.  The sayings that come out of her mouth are priceless.

On the wedding front, Nadine had her first dress fitting on Saturday.  She also worked on the dress rehearsal invites, which came out great.  We met with the Pastor again to go over the ceremony details on Monday.  I think we just have to pick readings and we are all set on that piece.  Another items crossed off the massive list.

Two months to go…

Well we hit the two month mark on Sunday.  Responses are still rolling in and the only no’s are from family in Germany.  Totally understandable with the high prices of airfare.  We plan on going to Germany anyway in September since we are going to be Godparents for Nadine’s cousin.  A small German family reception during the same trip should be fun.

So we have to break out the B list, and start mulling that over.  And Nadine thought she was done making invites….

Wedding Shower

Nadine’s wedding shower was this past Sunday.  We did a great job hiding it from her with meeting the Pastor and a wine tasting.  It got off to a slightly rocky start with a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ but everything turned out great.  The ladies did so much for the party.  Highlights include: Tracey and my mom making the favors; my godmother designing the center pieces; the mom’s got the great food, amazing cake and drinks; Mary created invites; Dominique made the wishing well from scratch and Val printed the bingo cards. Everyone for the most part got there super early and made the clubhouse look great.

I headed to my parents house for some Yankees baseball and came back at 4.  I was amazed how generous everyone was with the shower.  It was a lot of gifts to bring home.  We just have to find places to put it all.

Only a little over two more months to the big day….

Rock Climbing

We went rock climbing again with Jonathan to Rockville in Hamilton.  It was another fun but thoroughly exhausting time.  Its not a hobby we want to do all the time but it is a great workout.  And the “sports” continue with rollerskating tomorrow with our neighbor.  We are going to a small local place in Frenchtown that probably hasn’t changed much in 30 years.

On the wedding side, we are still trying to finalize the cake.  Design of the favors is near complete, another great job by Nadine but I had a hand in the tagline.  Hope everyone likes them.
